The hoses used in our reels are built with premium layers to protect against kinking when used.
Causes:
Kinking may occur if:
More hose is pulled out than needed. Standing at the hose reel and pulling the hose out (allowing it to pool at your feet) may result in kinking.
The hose reel is not mounted high enough; if too low the hose can rub on the aperture and cause kinks.
The hose reel cannot freely swivel 180 degrees.
Resolution:
If you experience a kink or coiling:
Extend the hose straight out and turn the tap on full to remove any kinks.
Ideally leave in the sun for a period of time (several hours)
The hose should not retain a memory and kinks should fill out.
